On the Feast of the Epiphany, in memory of the revelation of Jesus to the Magi

At Epiphany we recall the Wise searching for a king. These Wise ones, were the first from outside the house of Israel to search for and be received by Jesus: King of all the earth. Their welcome reception foreshadows the growth of the great family of God which in the Church spans the globe today. Indeed their journey foreshadows our own journeys towards the light and life of our Saviour, Christ Jesus.

O God,
who by the leading of a star
manifested your only Son to the peoples of the earth:
mercifully grant that we,
who know you now by faith,
may at last behold your glory face to face…...
