CofE burial ground in Ampfield
An open burial ground maintained by the Church of England Parish of Ampfield, in a woodland site just to the east of the main village
The burial ground at St Mark, Ampfield is a beautiful site set on in a wooded area just to the east of the main village of Ampfield. Visitors are welcome every day, all day.
The church burial ground is open. However the CofE area is very close to having no free plots for burial or interment of ashes. Being in a wooded area, the ground conditions for burial are also exceptionally difficult.
However it may still be possible for a burial in close proximity to the church to be achieved because another burial ground in Chapel Wood directly abuts the CofE burial place. The Chapel Wood burial ground is solely administered by the Civil Parish of Ampfield.
We cannot advise on this site on whether a burial will be possible in Chapel Wood. If the Civil Parish Council agrees to a burial our church team may however be able to reduce the amount of administration and the number of organisations you have to deal with.
