Community Remembers IV WWI Poppy Cascade Update

Very pleased to be continuing to receive poppies from people across North Baddesley. This week the total exceeds 1400. We’re doing well - but please keep knitting. We need lots more to make the cascade a fitting tribute.

Thanks to Baddesley Baptist Church for their donation of over 200 poppies this week. We’re on the way into the next stage of this fantastic project. A reminder that major updates and progress are here: WWI 100 poppy cascade and you can Contact us by web form or on social media @acnbchurch

This week we will be finalising the hanging details and begin to complete the programme for the fortnight. So if you have ideas about what you would like to see go on during the display now is the time to share them! There is still time to ask us for a poppy donation bucket. Ian’s making one right now for the Village Hall!

As we move into the next phase we would appreciate offers of volunteer help from across the community. This event is centred on St John the Baptist where the village war memorial stands. However we hope this can be a strongly community supported event. We welcome offers of volunteer help.
