Parish churches in Ampfield, Chilworth & North Baddesley

On Wednesday 31st March
Dear [subscriber:firstname | default:reader]

The email is a little early this week to cover all the Holy Week and Easter activities.

The online services, links and orders of service are below and there will be Morning Prayer on zoom at 11:30 as usual. Also, St. Mark’s church will be open for private prayer on Maundy Thursday from 10am – 2pm and on Good Friday from 10am – 3.30pm.

We are aware that some of you are beginning to wonder when we will be able to go back into our buildings and when we will go back to ‘normal’. On Monday, Victoria wrote:

"At the moment this is what the Ministry Team and I have decided. I will be asking the PCCs to debate the way forward at their next meetings but for now:

"The current plan is to have services back in the building in-line with step 4 (June) of the government's roadmap out of lockdown because the earlier steps are very focussed on outside activities and small numbers of people. We realise that some people may be keen to return to the building sooner than that but we have to balance practicalities such as church-size, social distancing, lift sharing, lack of singing and need for continued online presence for those not able to go back yet. Our conclusion is to wait until we can go back in a more 'normal' way. The vaccine roll out does make a difference; however, most have not yet had their second jab and some in the congregations have not yet had the first. If you would like to go into St Mark's, St John's or St Denys' for private prayer we can easily arrange that.

"Do share any thoughts and concerns you may have with me, our Churchwardens and PCC members."

I wish you a blessed Holy Week and a Happy Easter.

Abbie
